How to Use Herbs to Heal

It's sometimes in our best interest to use Herbs instead of usual medicines. Never replace your regular medicine with a herbal medicine! These are suggested for quick use and for mild symptoms until you can get to the doctor!

Steps

  1. Consider the following herbs to help you:
    • Burdock Root: Rinse the roots thoroughly and chew into a fine pulp. Apply this to an animal bite to stop infection in it's tracks!
    • Honey: For mild coughs this is great! Pour a teaspoon of honey into your mouth and mix with water to swallow.
    • Horsetail: Only buy this at a health food store as an extract or in any liquid form. Apply to infected cuts to cure the infection.
    • Lavender: Eaten to cure fevers.
    • Poppyseed: Helps ease one to sleep.
    • Thyme: For anxiety or frayed nerves, eat a bit of thyme and you'll be better in no Time! Get it?

Warnings

  • Never replace your own medicine with herbs!
  • Wash all herbs before you use them!
  • Herbs are better store bought, but make sure you don't use pesticides when growing them yourself.
  • Herbal supplements often interact badly with medicine and cause serious side effects.
